Online services

Our online services provide a practical way to get things done such as pay, enquire and apply with Council, and all from the convenience of your own home.

Library services

Our various libraries within the region give more than just the ability to borrow items such as provide home services, library events and workshops for young and old, digital resources and the chance to connect with your community through library social groups.

Library collections and membership

Barossa library membership is free and part of the LibrariesSA network. Find information about our collections, catalogue, and how to access over 130 public libraries across South Australia.

Home library service

Our Home Library Service offers a free, personalised delivery service that brings the library to your home.

Our libraries provide friendly and safe, inclusive spaces that encourage people of all ages, cultures and interests to connect, create and be inspired.

Transport and home assistance

We are proud to provide Commonwealth Home Support Programme services to support people in our community who need it most, as well as a range of transport services

Community Cars

Our community cars are driven by volunteer drivers who are fully trained, assessed and security cleared.

Door to door shopping bus

We offer many regular door-to-door shopping bus services.

Home assistance

Home Assist helps you to remain living safely in your own home and continue to enjoy your independence and quality of life.

Recreation and environment

The Barossa area boasts an abundance of natural environments such as conservation parks and reservoirs and local history and heritage that can be accessed by walking trails and by bike.

Waste and recycling

It may not be the most glamorous topic, however we take our waste and recycling seriously at the Barossa to do our part in looking after our planet.

Bin Service

A three-bin kerbside collection service is offered if you live within our designated bin collection area.

Hard waste for residents

Hard waste, or hard rubbish, is your unwanted household items that generally don’t fit into or are not accepted in your kerbside red waste bin.

Recycling

We are seeking to reduce the amount of waste going into landfill each year. so please join us in our challenge to waste less, recycle more.

Key projects

In recent years, we’ve invested heavily in infrastructure and key projects that contribute to the wellbeing of our community.

Main attractions

We’re lucky to be so close to some amazing places to visit and enjoy including parks and playgrounds, halls and community centres, aquatic and fitness centres, galleries, and more.

Emergency and safety

Your safety is important to us, and it’s key to know that there are several sources of information made available to you in case of an emergency.

Emergency management

Emergency management is a shared responsibility between all levels of government, emergency services, and the community. If you need urgent emergency services assistance call 000.

Our priority is to ensure a harmonious and healthy coexistence with animals in the local area.

Fire safety and advice

We have included information around fire prevention and restrictions to keep you, your family, and your home and business safe.
