Barossa Growth and Infrastructure Investment Strategy
The overarching vision for the Growth and Infrastructure Investment Strategy is to “Coordinate land use planning and infrastructure prioritisation to enhance our premium wine, food and tourism region and its unique lifestyle, heritage and community spirit”.
The three key objectives of the Strategy are:
- Provide strategic direction for land use and infrastructure planning;
- Provide greater investment certainty about where the Barossa will grow and what infrastructure is necessary to support this growth;
- Enable Council to better target expenditure in infrastructure and align it with growth priorities.
At the 18 March 2025 Council meeting, Council authorised the Phase 1 Growth and Infrastructure Investment Strategy.
