The Barossa Council was originally formed in 1996 after the amalgamation of the District Councils of Barossa, Tanunda, and Angaston. The majority of the District Council of Mount Pleasant was later amalgamated in 1997.

Council meetings

Ordinary meetings of The Barossa Council are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 5.30 pm - with the exception of the January meeting which is held on the fourth Tuesday.

Elected Members
