About library membership
Barossa library membership is free and part of the LibrariesSA network, connecting you to more than 130 public libraries and over 4 million items across South Australia.
How to join
In person (full membership): Visit your nearest Barossa Library branch and bring a form of identification. Full membership lets you borrow physical items as well as access to digital resources.
Online (digital membership): Register for a library membership online to get immediate access to eBooks, audiobooks and other digital resources.
What your membership includes
Your membership gives you access to more than 4 million items across South Australia, plus:
- computer and printing services at the library
- free Wi-Fi
- eBooks, audiobooks and eMagazines
- online resources and learning
- history and heritage resources
- and much more

Accessing our collections
Library Catalogue and App
You can borrow up to 100 physical items at a time (some item limits may apply). Use the Barossa Libraries Catalogue or the Libraries SA app to browse our collection, renew borrowed items, check due dates and place holds on items.
Digital Collections
As a library member you can access our digital collections anytime, anywhere. Log in with your library membership number and PIN.
Libby (by OverDrive)
Borrow eBooks, audiobooks and eMagazines. You can borrow up to 10 items at a time with a 21-day loan period. Libby is available on iPhone/iPad, Android and Desktop PC.
BorrowBox
Borrow eBooks and audiobooks, including a great range of Australian content. You can borrow up to 10 items at a time with a 21-day loan period. BorrowBox is available on iPhone/iPad, Android and Desktop PC.
Comics Plus
Instant, unlimited access to thousands of digital comics, graphic novels, early readers, and manga, all free with your Barossa library card. No holds, no waitlists, just nonstop reading whenever and wherever you want.
