Street sweeping
Our street sweeping trucks make rounds in your neighbourhood approximately every eight weeks to maintain clean gutters. This routine not only enhances the appearance of our streets, promoting cleanliness and tidiness, but it also serves a crucial role in environmental protection. By removing leaf litter and debris before they enter the stormwater system, we reduce the risk of flooding during heavy rain. Furthermore, clean streets contribute to safer roads for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.
Additional sweeping efforts are undertaken during the year to manage the accumulation of autumn leaves.
To keep our streets safe and tidy, our crews start their leaf blowing and street sweeping activities at little earlier in the day across Autumn.
Street sweeping annual schedule*
Our Street Sweeping Program offers a comprehensive schedule to keep the streets of The Barossa Council clean of debris. All streets are scheduled to be swept every 8 weeks with main street areas swept on a weekly basis.
*Please note, the program schedule may need to be altered to accommodate machinery breakdown and public holidays.
