Wellbeing - a focus on our community
15 Apr 2026Council’s Wellbeing Project has launched into its next phase, with local minds coming together to share ideas and shape potential initiatives that will support all ages and inform the next stage.
Four lifespan groups have been established to represent all demographics, including Early Years 0-12; Young Adults, 13-24 years; Adults, 26-55 and Older Adults, 56 plus.
Among the first to meet were the Early Years group who attended a conference at the Vine Inn Barossa in March.
Representatives from childcare centres, schools, allied health, libraries, non-government organisations, government agencies and Council were among the 34 local practitioners and service providers who gathered on the day. They turned local data collected when the Project begun, into action by developing six proposed community-led initiatives to support children and families across the region.
This first group’s work will join that from the other Lifespan Groups, helping to inform the Barossa Wellbeing & Inclusion Strategy as the Project continues to move forward.
