Supporting volunteers

We're bringing more flexibility to the way we deliver our volunteering services.

With changing work, lifestyle and volunteering patterns, more people are sourcing information online, with face-to-face enquiries at our Volunteer Resource Centre (VRC) representing just 2 of every 10 enquiries.

In response, we'll be closing our Volunteer Resource Centre from 18 October and introducing a ‘hybrid model’ where people can still book a face-to-face appointment, or choose to self-serve online via our website.

This new model will give our volunteer services team more opportunities to meet prospective volunteers on-site in their nominated volunteering environment, providing a tailored and customer-focused service.

We remain completely invested in giving people every opportunity to start their volunteering journey, and we’ll be here every step of the way.
