Lyndoch goes Live and Local for Gather Round
27 Mar 2026Lyndoch’s town centre will be filled with good vibes and a vibrant atmosphere thanks to a cash injection from The Barossa Council over Gather Round weekend.
Five hospitality businesses have received Lyndoch Live and Local grants to activate their business, leveraging the influx of 20,000 people flocking to Barossa Park over two big days.
Across April 10, 11 and 12, live artists, musicians and activations will bring colour and vibrancy to the main street before and after the AFL games.
And the return of Bounce around the Barossa buses makes transport to and from Lyndoch easy, convenient and free.
Mandy Jacobs from the Lord Lyndoch says it’s a great economic boost for the town and will really uplift the visitor experience.
The Lord Lyndoch will feature live acoustic music by Kevin Perks and Joe and Jules, complementing other Gather Round activations at Ministry of Beer, Lyndoch Hotel, Table Café and Wine Bar and Kies Family Wines.
Mandy hopes more foot traffic will translate to an uplift in spending.
“As a restaurant we don’t have a history of live music, and that’s something we’re looking to change,” says Mandy.
“I’m a huge supporter of live music and I think it’s really important to take these opportunities to support and host live music.
From a business perspective, it definitely brings people into the town and increases foot traffic, and every business then benefits
Mayor Bim Lange says the initiative encourages people to stay longer before and after the games and spend more in the town.
“We know there’s been a strong appetite among the business community to activate around Gather Round weekend, and this initiative really ticks all the boxes,” he said.
“Through these cash grants, we’re providing opportunities for artists and musicians, increasing spending in local businesses and enhancing the visitor experience during Gather Round.
“The uptake from the local business community has been really encouraging and demonstrates the great partnerships we’re building to ensure the whole Barossa region benefits from our investment Gather Round.”
