Declutter and save is back with two waste incentives
22 Apr 2026“Declutter and Save”, The Barossa Council’s kerbside collection and waste voucher promotion, is back with availability now extended beyond township boundaries and into more areas.
Residents who have traditionally used the voucher service are encouraged to ask Solo about new kerbside eligibility when registering for the program.
Mayor Bim Lange hopes the offer will encourage even more people to get rid of their rubbish, including green garden waste, responsibly.
Most of us are looking to free up some space around the home, shed, garage or garden, so this is a cost-effective solution that we’re proud to offer our community.
Council’s hard waste kerbside collection option enables people to dispose of up to two cubic metres of household hard waste material at their kerbside.
With an additional 100 kerbside services added to the promotion, the first 600 eligible properties can now access the offer.
Angaston, Eden Valley, Lyndoch, Moculta, Mount Pleasant, Nuriootpa, Penrice, Sandy Creek, Springton, Stockwell, Tanunda and Williamstown are included in the promotion; with parts of Kalbeeba, Concordia, Cockatoo Valley, Bethany, Vine Vale, Light Pass and additional areas of Williamstown now also included.

Accepted materials include furniture (excluding mattresses), white goods including fridges and freezers, electronics such as TVs and computers, carpets, gardening equipment, metal and timber.
“Remember the two cubic metre collection limit,” says Mayor Lange.
Meanwhile, rural and township residents who don’t secure a kerbside collection can access a hard waste and/or green waste voucher valued at $75.
Five hundred vouchers will be available on a first-in-first-served basis.
Vouchers are available for domestic waste only, with a range of waste materials accepted depending on the vendor. To make things a little easier, the Springton Transfer Station will be open extra days, including 23 May and 27 June.
“And with the discounted resident rates, you get even more bang for your buck with the voucher,” says Mayor Lange.
“Just note, only one service is available per financial year. So, if you claimed a voucher or booked a kerbside collection this financial year during the last 'Declutter and Save' promotion, you are ineligible to participate in this one.
“Stay tuned though, the initiative is set to return next financial year.”
