Barossa to headline Gather Round...A Festival of Footy
12 Nov 2025After sell-out games and a successful 2025 appearance, Barossa has again secured two AFL games at Barossa Park, Lyndoch as part of 2026 AFL Gather Round… A Festival of Footy.
Our picturesque, Barossa Park will play host to two big games with North Melbourne going head-to-head with Brisbane on Saturday, 11 April at 12.05pm; and GWS facing Richmond on Sunday, 12 April at 2.45pm.
Mayor Bim Lange said it’s fantastic for the Barossa to be featured in the 2026 fixture, acknowledging the economic benefit the event brings to the region.
“Last year was a huge success, and iconic, as we celebrated the opening of Barossa Park. We’re excited to build on this next year and deliver an even bigger and better experience for footy fans and visitors,” he said.
“We’re well advanced in our planning of events, like the Barossa Food and Wine Village, which will be a great showcase of our incredible food and wine and a great way to wind down after the game.
As a region, we can’t wait to welcome interstate visitors and encourage them to spend time exploring the best of the Barossa, outside of the football.
Gather Round tickets will go on sale via Ticketek on Wednesday, 3 December for club and AFL members, and Thursday, 4 December for the general public.
