Clear out and cash in this November when the Garage Sale Trail, Australia’s biggest second-hand treasure hunt, returns to the Barossa.

Boasting garage sales across Australia on 9-10 and 16-17 November, the event offers Spring savings for savvy shoppers on everything from the essentials you need, to those pre-loved retro gems you want.

Mayor Bim Lange said selling or shopping at garage sales is a fun and simple action we can take to reduce our carbon footprint.

With free registration, how-to guides and promotional resources, it's garage sales made easy over two big weekends.

Locals are encouraged to host their own sale or join a group sale in their neighbourhood over one day or more.

“We expect to have dozens of garage sales happen in the Barossa and another 15,000 around the nation. That’s massive!" Mayor Lange added.

“More sales means more bargains and there really will be something for everyone; designer fashion, mid-century furniture, cookware, vinyl, kids' stuff, tools and more."
