Neldner Road Tanunda, Road Upgrade

Neldner Road Tanunda, Road Upgrade is being constructed by Council’s internal construction crew with the supply of 1500t of recycled rubble by Downer utilising Councils own asphalt profiling’s obtained from the Councils recent reseal program of works. Downer will also undertake the spray seal works:

The project scope includes;

• The upgrade of existing unsealed segment (approximately 1km) from Magnolia Road to the existing seal at Basedow Road end.
  • The existing rubble pavement is to be ripped, moisture conditioned, shaped and compacted to become the new sub-base layer.
  • A new base layer minimally 7m wide to be constructed using recycled rubble
  • A new 6m wide 14/7 double coat spray seal to be constructed

• The renewal of existing sealed surface at Basedow Road end.
  • Minor maintenance works to be completed prior to the existing sealed segment being resealed with a 14/7 double coat spray seal at existing widths.

The road upgrade works is scheduled from the 3^rd of March to 18^th March with a hard closure on the 18^th for sealing works.
