The Mount Pleasant Caravan Park, located within Talunga Park, saw a major upgrade due to the Park thanks to State Government grant funding and Council contribution.
A significant amount of storm-water, drainage and ground levelling works occurred across the site to address drainage issues. Development of 24 designated powered sites, a new camp kitchen, fit-out to the reception area, landscaping including irrigated lawn areas, garden beds and tree planting, as well as internal roads and footpaths.
The project also included the installation of 6 cabins to the Park consisting of 2 new modular, 2-bedroom cabins that are fully equipped with kitchen and bathroom facilities and 4 cabins that have been relocated from the Barossa Tourist Park at Nuriootpa.
Each cabin offer 2 bunk beds, 1 double bed and a small kitchenette. The introduction of cabin accommodation will provide visitors with additional accommodation options and will attract a new market of holiday makers to the park.

Total project costs of $2,378,000 through the following funding:
- Grant: $817,286
- The Barossa Council: $1,957,394
