If you need to dispose of hard waste, eWaste, drumMUSTER containers, or green waste, you can take it to our Springton Waste Transfer Station on 1508 Springton Road, Springton, the driveway entry is across from Barossa Boundary Road.
The station is open on the second Saturday of each month from 9am to 3pm, but it is closed on days declared a Total Fire Ban.
EFTPOS is preferred; however, you can pay with cash (the correct change would be very much appreciated).
Green organics recycling facility and Compost, Soil & Mulch experts, Kuchel Contractors are also available to The Barossa Council residents to dispose of their organic (green) waste materials.
If you're bringing any drumMUSTER containers, you will need to make an appointment first by ringing our Customer Support Team on 8563 8444.
Proof of Identity or a Barossa Council rates notice is required to access the resident fee, a separate fee will apply to non-residents - refer to the fee table listed below.

Only containers with the drumMUSTER logo will be accepted, and please make sure they have been cleaned up according to drumMUSTER cleanliness standards.

Items not accepted at the Transfer Station
The following items will not be accepted at the Springton Waste Transfer Station:

- Loose paper
- Plastic - Commercial Quantities
- Concrete
- Car bodies
- Permapine posts - to dispose of treated timber (permapine posts) please contact the IWS Group on 82432644 to ascertain costs and arrange a time to drop off at their Dublin site
Please note that fridges and freezers must have gas cylinders and doors removed before dumping.
Buy mulch
Untreated mulch is sometimes available for purchase from Springton Waste Transfer Station at $45.00 for a 6x4 trailer load.
