Have your final say on our Draft Arts, Culture and Heritage Strategy!
We have worked closely with the community to shape a strategy for how Council will support arts, culture and heritage in the Barossa. More than 350 people shared their thoughts during our initial community engagement last year and this feedback has helped shape the draft strategy.
The draft strategy builds on our proud history, First nations heritage and world-renowned food and wine reputation, while putting arts and culture in the spotlight.
The strategy will guide future decisions and help build important partnerships that foster wellbeing, inclusion and connection across every corner of our community and includes six connected goals:
- Preserve and celebrate cultural heritage
- Grow creative industries and local talent
- Drive cultural tourism and creative visitation
- Amplify participation and local storytelling
- Foster community wellbeing, inclusion and connection
- Champion cultural learning and creative education
We encourage you to read the draft Arts, Culture and Heritage Strategy and have your final say on this draft strategy before 5pm, 16 September 2026:
