Whether you're planning a private function, concert, festival, or sporting event, The Barossa Council has a wide range of venues, ovals, and spaces available for hire.

All activities held at community facilities are managed in accordance with Council's Event Management Policy.

If your planned activity involves any of the following, an Event Application is required to seek Council approval prior to booking the venue:

attracts more than 200 people
the sale of food and/or alcohol
animals (eg animal show activities)
fireworks or special effects
Amplified music
Impact on the flow of traffic on Council roads or car parking
the requirement of Council resources (e.g. waste management)

Subsidy Information

Subsidy information for venues (excluding Barossa Park Function Centre)

If you believe your booking is eligible for subsidised hire rates (based on the below information) please choose the "Eligible for community subsidy" purpose and final pricing will be sent to you after your booking request to finalise the booking. All other bookings are "Standard Booking" purpose types.

Subsidy Criteria:

The Hirer can demonstrate it will not generate profit - 40%
The Hirer can demonstrate Social Inclusion - Activities which support wider social inclusion targets. These may include such groups as; Low socio-economic background; older adults; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders; Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities - 20%
The Hirer can demonstrate that the use of the facility will increase community participation and/or will promote health and wellbeing of the Barossa Council community - 15%

Maximum primary subsidy available 75% .
