This initiative is part of an ongoing staged approach to upgrade Melrose Street, with this segment constituting stage 4 of the project in Mount Pleasant.
The aim is to enhance Melrose Street through a comprehensive upgrade project, encompassing the construction of formalised concrete kerbing, parking bays, tree surrounds, and concrete spoon drain.
The scope of work spans from Phillis Street to Angas Valley Road on both sides of Melrose Street.. Once completed, these enhancements will seamlessly integrate with previous upgrades and assist the Department of Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) in the resealing of Melrose Street roadway.
